The Repair Process

All situations are different, but here’s an overview of what will happen when you select Epsom Smash Repairs to fix your vehicle.

Assessment

Your car will need to be assessed before we carry out any repairs. If, after the accident, you can’t drive your car, it will be towed to us. Without you being present.

If the damage is minor and you can drive your car, then we’ll make a convenient time for you to come and see us. The assessment takes about 20-30 minutes. We take photos and notes and have a good look at the damage. We double check all of your insurance details and your contact details and complete all the paperwork for you..

After this, we’ll either:

  • Book a time for your car to be repaired.
  • Give you an estimate of the repair cost and the time you are likely to be off the road.
  • Sort out any extras you’re entitled to, a hire car , or taxi vouchers to get home.

Talk to your insurance company to make arrangements.

Repair work

We will have prepared for your appointment and all of the necessary components required for the repair, make sure that you arrive on time.

And here’s our promise: We will call you every three days to keep you informed on our progress. On average, we need cars for five days. However, if there is an unexpected delay then we’ll let you know about it. And we’ll do our best to make alternative arrangements if required. You will be consulted every step of the way.

Our name is our reputation

Epsom Smash Repairs has a long history in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Originally owned by Laurie Marshall and situated at Epsom Road, Rosebery, it was a family business.

In 2001, Jason Chapman bought the business and vowed to continue on it’s legacy for quality repairs as well as its strong commitment to the community.

In 2002 Epsom Smash Repairs was recognised by NRMA insurance as the “Best of the Best” (alongside our sister shop Cleveland Motor Body Repairs.) Due to this recognition by Australia’s number one insurer, business boomed and Epsom Smash Repairs experienced growth that led to it finding larger premises. The business moved to Collins Street, Alexandria in 2004 where it remains today

In 2004, the company joined AAMI’s list of preferred Smash Repairers. 20014 was also the year that Epsom Smash Repairs joined forces with the team at NRMA to take part in the Variety Club Burramatta to Bathers Beach bash, raising more than $400,000 for the Children’s Charity. In 2005, Epsom Smash Repairs and the NRMA teamed up again for the Variety Club Bakery to Bethany bash, and raised a six figure sum for Variety.

In 2008 Epsom Smash Repairs once again needed to expand, and has since taken over premises next door, proving a significantly larger workshop and customer service facility.
The company is firmly focused on the future and continues to invest in people, products and technology so that it can provide the exceptional quality customer service that the company has built its reputation on.
